The subtle symbol supports the “With Refugees” campaign of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), a “global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for refugees, communities displaced by force and stateless people,” according to the coalition’s website.
The #WithRefugees ribbon is an “emblem of compassion and solidarity for those who have been forced to flee their homes because of war, conflict and persecution.”
The tapes were made by the Knotty Tie company, which helps resettle refugees in Denver, Colorado.
