mackenzie mckee (née Douthit) and estranged husband josh mckee they first met in 2009 and were introduced to fans in season 4 of 16 and pregnant in 2012. She gave birth to her first child, son Gannon, in September 2011. The couple married in August 2013 and welcomed two more children: daughter Jaxie in February 2014 and son Broncs in August 2016. They had a brief appearance on season 1 of the already disappeared teen mom 3which aired in 2013.
But they experienced ups and downs throughout their marriage. In January 2017, the couple briefly split amid the Mackenzie cheating scandal after she was caught texting another man.

Their marriage faced another test when their mother, Angie Douthit, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung and brain cancer in January 2018. In August of that year, they returned to reality television on season 8 of teen mom and and during one of the first episodes, Mackenzie accused Josh of cheating on her while traveling for work with a rodeo. Josh later admitted that he had an “inappropriate” encounter with a woman at a bar during that work trip.
That month, Mackenzie announced her separation from Josh after six years of marriage. In October 2019, she confirmed that she filed for divorce, but the couple quickly reconciled after the filing. Just a few weeks later, Josh proposed to Mackenzie again on her birthday and they got back together.
The couple still had problems after reconciling and Mackenzie’s mother urged her to work out her issues with Josh before his death in December 2019.
In May 2020, Mackenzie and Josh broke up again after she claimed she went through his call logs and learned that he had been texting another woman since about two weeks after his mother passed away, who later revealed that she was one of his cousins. Mackenzie later clarified that she didn’t think Josh was cheating on her with her cousin, but she was upset that he was opening up to her family about her marital problems and that was the reason for her breakup.
Following their split, Mackenzie and Josh have sparked reconciliation rumors. That August, Mackenzie moved to Florida from Oklahoma with her children, and Josh followed shortly thereafter. They started posting various photos together and celebrated Halloween 2020 together as a family. In November 2020, Mackenzie posted a photo of herself, Josh, and two other couples. Fans speculated that the couple had gotten back together in the comments with Mackenzie clarifying: “Dats it. We are best friends.
However, Mackenzie finally addressed the status of her relationship with Josh in an exclusive interview with In contact in January 2021. “We’re just having so much fun right now as a family,” the MTV alum said at the time. “Obviously, he’s all over me. And so people say, OK, they’re more than friends, but we don’t really have that conversation. I’m not talking to anyone else. I leave it open. In February 2021, they officially got back together.
Unfortunately, the couple ultimately couldn’t make their marriage last. Just 17 months after they reconciled, Mackenzie confirmed that they broke up again in July 2022.
“With all the messages I’m getting and articles coming out, I wanted you guys to hear what’s going on just from me,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “Sometimes things work out and sometimes, no matter how hard you fight, it just doesn’t work out. I’m breaking my silence about Josh and I breaking up. I will always respect him as the father of my children, but it’s time to find my happy 🙏.”
Mac is currently in a relationship with a man named Khesanio Khezzii Hall.
