“I had a lot of fun seeing my daughter and her children on a short visit!” David, 59, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, April 2, along with a photo with Christine, 50, Truely, 12, Kati and her children. The caption concluded with the hashtags “grandchildren”, “family”, “family time” and “my queen”.
It seems that part of Christine’s family has already met David’s family, since their daughter Mykleti Brown took to the comments section to note that she felt left out.
Why didn’t I get the invitation? Kati is amazing!!!” Mykelti, 26, wrote. “She’s fine, I understand, she’s a 12-hour drive from me.”
The mother-of-three made it clear the comment was light-hearted by adding the hashtags “I’m fine” and “I love it.”
In addition to Truely and Mykelti, Christine and her ex-husband, kody brownshare children One round, paedon, gwendlyn and Ysabel.
After announcing her split from Kody, 54, in November 2021, Christine revealed her relationship with David in February 2023.
He shared a photo of the couple via Instagram on Valentine’s Day, telling his fans that he “finally found the love of [her] life.”
“The first time he held me, I felt my soul take its first breath,” the TLC personality wrote at the time. “He is wonderful and kind, amazing with my children and a lovely grandfather. I never dreamed that I could find a love like this.”
Meanwhile, David also took to his own social media on February 14 to announce their romance. “My queen,” she captioned a selfie of the duo.
A week before publicly announcing their romance, Christine told her fans via an Instagram Stories video that she was dating someone exclusively.
“I just have to tell you that I am exclusively dating someone,” she said in the video shared on February 7. “He is wonderful, romantic, kind and everything I have been looking for. [He’s] amazing with Truely. It’s absolutely a dream come true and I’m so excited to show you pictures and everything shortly.”
While the TV personality appears to be head over heels in love, not everyone in her family seems to be sold on her relationship with David.
During a TikTok Live session shared by a social media user on March 7, Paedon, 24, admitted that he felt like his mother and David were “going too fast.”
“I’m not telling you to slow down. I just want you to know that you are rushing this,” she said in the clip. “You’ve been in a bad relationship for years…actually it was a good one at one point, but at least in the past, five years minimum.”
Noting that she was “sorry” that Christine had a “bad relationship” with Kody, she added: “Now you’re rushing into this relationship very, very fast.”
Paedon added that he was “happy” for Christine, although he shared that she will probably “never be around” David.
