“I just want them to understand before they get into the internet age and connect to something or have their friends tell them something. I want it to come from me so that when they come of age, I will tell them the true story,” he added. “But in the meantime, it’s just, ‘Hey, Dad made some mistakes. But it’s okay. We are all humans. We all make mistakes. … It was my fault, so I’m taking the initiative with the kids. I would prefer it to come from me, as the source. During the interview, Tiger acknowledged the progress he has had in his relationship with his ex-wife.
“[Trying to make it work] it was too hard, too hard. But now, looking back, over the years, we’re like best friends. It’s fun,” she noted. “She talks to me about her life, I talk to her about my life. We try to help each other at all times. And we work with the children, the parenting program. She is now one of my best friends, and all thanks to my children. We have worked very hard and I have shown them how much I love them. We’ve worked very hard on co-parenting, to make sure their lives are fantastic.”
