mom june shannonthe eldest daughter, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwellhe said “things are looking good” amid his ongoing battle with cancer.
“Well we’re off to round 3 of chemotherapy,” Anna, 28, shared via Instagram along with a selfie with her boyfriend. Eldridge Toney on Wednesday May 10. “Yesterday was [a] very good day but it got a little [sick] and Cracker Barrel was good going down but not going up.”
According to Anna, who was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in January, the chemotherapy seems to be working.
“Overall, everything is going well and the chemotherapy is working. We come to find that things are looking good. [sic],” she wrote.
The good news comes barely a week after the Mama June: Family Crisis star open to In contact about her daughter’s diagnosis.
“She has had two rounds of chemotherapy. She’s going for round three of hers next week,” June, 43, said. In contact ahead of the season 6 premiere of her reality show. “She is fine. The second round was a bit tough for her.”
He went on to say that Anna had been sleeping a lot but they were getting by like a family. “She’s just going through the emotions like anyone else would. [with] cancer,” June added. “We are going through emotions as a family.”

“I know like her mom, if I’m struggling some days, I know she has to really struggle some days. You know, we have her good days and our bad days,” said the mother of four.
According to the National Cancer Institute, adrenal carcinoma “is a rare disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the outer layer of the adrenal gland.”
Anna reportedly learned of her diagnosis after complaining of stomach pains. She underwent a series of tests and found cancer in her liver, kidney and lung.
