Oh! kim kardashian she was criticized by fans for saying she plans to save her sexy red Dolce & Gabbana two-piece suit for daughters North and Chicago West as a potential prom dress.
During his interview on Saturday February 25 with Fashion At Milan Fashion Week, the 42-year-old Skims founder explained what she plans to do with the gleaming, refreshed look she wore that night.
“I think this look was from the early ’90s, maybe around ’94,” Kim said at the start of her video interview. “[It] it was a long red dress. So, I modernized it a bit, turned it into a crop. And we made this cute mini bag, it’s amazing. And then it will go to my Dolce & Gabbana archive that I hope my kids will want to wear one day. I hope North and Chicago can wear this to prom, they can wear it to a formal dance at school, they can wear it for whatever they want. They can wear it on a night out.”
She then joked that she wouldn’t be “stingy” with any of her Dolce & Gabbana files, but noted: “I know my girls will try to steal this bag and I have different versions.” There are always little presents, and I get to go home with them, and I see myself as the best mom in the world.”
In addition to Chicago, 5, and North, 9, Kim also shares sons Saint, 7, and Psalm, 3, with her ex-husband. Kanye “Ye” West.
In response to the clip, countless social media users criticized the kardashians star for their comments, with most noting that the bralette-like top and skirt were not appropriate for a high school dance.
“Ride? You’re going to put North on that Lord have mercy [sic]wrote one person, while another went so far as to write: “Do you want your daughters to wear a bra to a high school dance or prom when they are teenagers? She says a lot about you as a mom.
Another Instagram user also weighed in, claiming that wearing this as a prom dress is “wrong” for “someone underage.”
“There are a million other options for going to prom, options that don’t include a ‘bra’ and showing your stomach,” the fan continued in her comment. “If your kids, as adults, want to use this, more power to them, but as ADULTS, not high school. You have to watch what you say and influence others, and you can enjoy your archive of couture clothing without saying something as absurd as this.”
While this isn’t the first time the SKKN Beauty founder has found herself in trouble with fans, she apparently isn’t letting the negativity bother her. Kim has taken her eldest daughter, North, to various fashion events in recent years, including Paris Fashion Week in July 2022.
