Distance love. 90 day fiance star Jen BoecherThe visa issues won’t be resolved anytime soon amid his international romance with rishi singh, a legal expert has an exclusive account In contact.
“I am not familiar with the immigration laws in India. However, I am familiar with the immigration laws of the United States”, immigration attorney kathleen martinez explain to In contact. “If the immigration system is like here, then she’s going to wait a long time because of COVID.”
Kathleen, who is represented by Dominique Enchinton, owner of Dominton Talent House, adds: “COVID causes significant delays around the world for a number of embassies.”
During the March 19 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other SideJen, 46, visited an Indian immigration lawyer to discuss how she can stay in India after moving from the US.
Although Jen knew that her visa was only valid for 120 days and that she could only stay in India for 30 days, she assumed that she was allowed to leave and return within that time frame.
“From what I understand, I have to leave the country every 30 days,” the TLC personality told the lawyer. Nipun Khanna.
Jen was surprised when the lawyer explained, “Once you leave this country, you have to reapply for a tourist visa.”
He further said that Jen’s visa was for a single entry and was only valid for 30 days.
“When you leave this country, this visa is invalid,” Nipun told the cameras. “It was basically written in advance on the visa that it is a 30-day single entry visa. She had no idea. I feel like this is crazy American behavior.”
After the attorney explained that reapplying for a tourist visa could take time due to delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he advised Jen to return to the United States and reapply for a new visa there.
Jen admitted in a confessional that the situation seemed “hopeless” and wondered if it was a sign that she and Rishi, 32, weren’t meant to be.

Later in the episode, he told the personal trainer that he had to return home to the United States to sort out his visa issues.
“I hope we make it,” he told her. “I don’t want to lose you because of that damn visa.”
Jen’s return to the United States is not the first time the couple has parted ways. After they met during their solo trip to India, they quickly got engaged but were kept apart for two years due to travel restrictions amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
