She did it! Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is officially a high school graduate as she walked across the stage in her home state of Georgia.
“To say that I am proud would be an understatement”, her sister, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird shared via Instagram, along with a series of photos smiling with Alana after the ceremony on Saturday, May 20. “To be there as a witness to this next chapter, I am in awe. Amazed at how much you’ve grown, how beautiful your soul is, and most importantly, how far you’ve come against the odds.”
She added: “Hearing your name and seeing you walk, I am truly honored. I can’t wait to see what the next chapter of your life holds. Please always know that I am your biggest fan.”
In addition to her bright yellow dress, 17-year-old Alana wore a custom-decorated cap that read: “I trust the next chapter, because I know the author.” Her cap, which was designed by Kim’s Custom Caps, also featured a dazzling lace crown, cut-out paper flowers and an outline of pearls and rhinestones. His mother June “Mama June” Shannon He was also present at the big event.
“I am so proud of her she is our 2023 graduate and yes we were screaming the whole time WTG LANA,” she captioned a video of Alana’s ceremony.
Just weeks before her big achievement, the former little kids and tiaras the star attended her prom with her boyfriend Dralin Carswell.
Alana was dressed to the nines in a stunning gown made to measure fit for a pageant queen as she sparkled from head to toe. The sleeveless pink gown featured detailed beadwork across the fitted bodice that continued to the mermaid train. The reality star added pink rhinestones to her shimmery eyeshadow and she pinned her hair up in a half-up, half-down style.
Alana and Dralin arrived at the school’s auditorium, which was decked out in “Cloud 9”-themed décor, in an open carriage pulled by a white horse whose feathered mane and floral accessories complemented the star’s dress. For her part, Alana’s boyfriend kept it casual in a white polo shirt and black jeans.
He Here comes baby boo boo alum has had a rocky road to her high school graduation, having been the subject of a heated custody battle between her mother and her older sister Pumpkin in 2022.

The family first rose to fame in 2012 after starring on TLC. Little children and tiaras. They went on with their own spin-off series called Here comes baby boo boowhich aired on the network from 2012 to 2017. June and her daughters returned to television for Mama June: From not to hot, after June she underwent a weight loss transformation. The show was later renamed Mama June: Family Crisis and Mama June: Road to Redemption.
