Did Mike Silva have a stroke?
Darcey and Stacey found out that Mike had a stroke while at Stacey’s and florian sukajbachelorette/bachelorette party, which was shown in a teaser clip shared by People.
“I was sitting there, uh, it’s just that something felt off. I just felt like something was different,” Mike told the twins about his symptoms during a phone call. “I was thinking and suddenly I lost my mind. Then, my eyes became very blurry. Hard to focus. So I got up to look in the mirror and found that I had no balance. I mean I almost fell, because I was off balance. My speech was slurred.”
He went on to explain that his diagnosis was confirmed during a visit to the doctor. “I called my doctor, I went to see my doctor. He told me it’s a stroke. It’s probably a mini stroke,” Mike recalled. “They call them a mini stroke. There are different levels of stroke, up to the point of embolism, which kills you.”
Both Darcey and Stacey started crying, though Mike told them to stop. “What helps is clear thinking. Clear direction, clear strategy, not crying like I’m on my deathbed,” he added.
“My dad means everything to us and to hear that he is struggling, slurring his words, feeling off balance and not thinking clearly is very scary,” Darcey said in a confessional. “He is the patriarch of our family, he has always been the strong one.”
While both Darcey and Stacey said they wanted to leave the bachelorette weekend in New York City to see him in Connecticut, Mike insisted they not visit. “Yeah, you come home and you stress me out. I don’t want stress,” he said before Stacey responded, “We don’t want to stress you, we just want to hold you.”
“We are here for you and we will do anything. We will do anything for you,” Darcey told her father. “We want you to feel better. We love you.”
The sisters were comforted after the phone call, and Stacey admitted that she was worried about Mike.
“You know that our dad is our world. Without him, I don’t know where we would be,” she said. “I’m supposed to get married in a couple of days, but I can’t even think about it.”

Also in the clip, Stacey broke down in tears as she noticed her second wedding to Florian coming up. “I’m supposed to get married in a couple of days, but I can’t even think about it,” she said.
The couple eventually had their second wedding ceremony at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina in Connecticut on November 2, 2022, so Michael could attend.
Their second ceremony came after they eloped during a small ceremony in April 2020 attended only by them and their officiant.
