Never a dull moment. While country singers often share personal messages with their music, many of the genre’s musicians have been known to fall out with their colleagues.
A recent fight is between maren morris and jason’s side. The drama began when Jason’s wife, brittany village, made a comment considered transphobic in an Instagram video in August.
After thanking her “parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase,” several musicians, including Maren, took to social media to criticize Brittany.
After papa casadee said: “You’d think celebrities with beauty brands would see the positive aspects of including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging,” she called out to the Xo Britt founder, writing: “But here we are, listening to someone compare their ‘tomboy phase’ with someone who wants to transition. Really nice.”
Maren then chimed in to share her thoughts on the matter. “Is it that easy, like, not to be a trashy human? Sell your clips and trade it, Insurrection Barbie,” the “Bones” singer wrote in response to Cassadee’s tweet.
friend from brittany Candace Owens entered the drama when he wrote through Twitter that “it is easier not to castrate your children”. He added: “But I guess whatever helps sell bad records.”
“Oh my gosh, not you. My Grammy is positively sobbing right now,” Maren applauded. “Also, why do they always resort to ‘castration’ and ‘pedophiles’ to try to close an argument? It’s honestly concerning and worth looking into.”
Jason soon found his way into the feud by calling Brittany his “Barbie” in the comments section of one of her Instagram posts. The “Got What I Got” singer continued to take sides when he brought up Maren during her concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville in October.

After mentioning Maren’s name, the audience booed loudly as Jason made a confused face to show he didn’t understand the negative reaction from the crowd.
