Malia fell in love with the handsome engineer of the ship, jake baker, who was not a featured cast member on the show. As of February 2022, the couple’s romance seems to be going strong, according to an Instagram photo she shared of the couple with their arms together while visiting the Florida Keys.
However, back in October, it seems the couple had a problem. Malia apparently hinted at a breakup after deleting all of her couple’s photos from her Instagram.
“Ready for my next chapter,” she shared via her Instagram Stories on Oct. 6 while sharing a travel photo.

JL, who was 24 at the time of his boat trip and admitted that he had never been in a serious relationship, finally revealed in a January 2022 Instagram post that a DNA test had confirmed that he was the father of her baby.
