“Jenelle, Barbara, whoever is listening right now… just let Jace see me,” Andrew, 38, said during a rare video interview with Sun, which was published on Friday, April 14. “Let me see Jace.”
He 16 and pregnant alum, who welcomed 13-year-old Jace with his high school sweetheart in August 2009, went on to say that his family wanted to meet the teen, too.
“My cousin, my nephew, my niece, my sister. Know. Just let me see Jace,” she begged, while her mother Diana Lewis, who joined by phone, added that she”[wants] be part of [Jace’s] life.”
“But they don’t want us to do it, and I don’t understand that,” he said. “There are problems, yes, I’m sure. Jenelle had hers, Andrew had his. But life goes on. Get over. Grow.”
Andrew slammed the former MTV personality, saying he lives in a fantasy land.
“Let me talk to him. Give me something. … This is not more MTV–t bulls, this is reality. Stop living on cloud nine and let reality take you, okay?” he said. “That’s where “I’ve been. You haven’t. I’m not trying to be rude to you, I just want you to know. Please let me see Jace. That’s it. That’s all I ever wanted.”
Andrew’s desperate plea comes less than a month after the North Carolina native regained custody of her eldest son, after he spent more than a decade in the care of Jenelle’s mother. Barbara Evans.
“My mom and I decided together to return full custody to me because we want to rebuild our relationship as mother and daughter,” said Jenelle, 31. us weekly On March 18th. “Besides, my mother agrees that it’s time for Jace to go back to his brothers and live with a mother and father.
