Matter of concern? 1000 sister pounds stars amy slaton and amanda halterman reacted to tammy slaton‘quick engagement with Caleb Willingham.
In a teaser clip for the Tuesday, March 14 episode shared via TLC‘s Instagram, Tammy, 36, revealed “your girl is engaged” during a confessional.
“I don’t know how they’re going to react,” he admitted before telling his family the news. “But I really hope they are happy for me. I am nervous.”
The clip continued with Tammy FaceTiming Amy, 35, during a family gathering. She revealed that she “has been talking to this guy Caleb,” adding that she “asked me to marry him.”
Amy and Amanda were visibly shocked by the news. “I had seen on social media that you had a boyfriend, but that was only a couple of weeks ago,” Amanda finally replied.
When Amy asked how long Tammy had known Caleb, she hesitantly replied, “I’ve been with Caleb for a month.”
While Amanda said the new couple was “moving a little fast,” Tammy revealed that they were planning to get married in two weeks.
“Two weeks away. Are you kidding me? Why rush something? Amanda said in a confessional. “I would definitely like to know your first, middle, and last name before my sister goes and takes your last name.”
Meanwhile, Amy admitted in her own confessional that she originally thought the news of Tammy’s engagement was a joke “because she wants to marry a complete stranger.”
“But then again, she’s always loved hard and fast,” added the mother of two. “There was a guy that she told that she loved him too an hour after they met. It used to be the same way. But I grew up.”
Tammy and Caleb met at the same weight loss rehab in Ohio.
“Caleb is someone I’ve been getting to know for the last two weeks,” the Kentucky native explained during the March 7 episode. “Caleb has been here for almost a year and he’s only now starting to leave his room because he had health issues.”
The couple got engaged in October 2022 and tied the knot shortly thereafter in November. “Everyone knew me as Tammy Slaton, but now everyone will know me as Mrs. Tammy Willingham,” she said. People November 20th. “I’m already married!”
The television personality also told the outlet that their wedding was “perfect.” Tammy said: “There was so much love in the room.”
Despite not initially being supportive of the quick wedding, Amy was by her sister’s side at the ceremony. Her nuptials will be featured in an upcoming episode of the reality show.
