During the Wednesday, March 8, season 2 finale episode of the TLC show, Vannessa, 44, expressed her discomfort with excess skin while at a doctor’s appointment.
“Since I lost weight, my vagina is just skin,” she said in a confessional, explaining that there is a lot of loose skin between her legs. “Looks like I have a three inch penis with these big fat balls.”
while talking to Dr. Amy Alderman, Vannessa opened up about having a panniculectomy. The procedure removes excess stretched fat and protruding skin from the abdomen. She was also told that she could have a monsplasty, which removes excess skin and fatty tissue from the mons pubis.
The plastic surgeon then explained that Vannessa can also undergo a lower body lift, which blends the excess skin around the lower body.
“They’re going to have to cut all the way,” the reality star said in a confessional. “Right now it’s a bit incomprehensible for the simple fact that I don’t understand cutting my whole body in half.”
Despite her concerns, Vannessa was adamant that she would go through with the procedure. “When he talks to me about it, it’s scary,” she admitted.
As the doctor’s appointment continued, Alderman explained that Vannessa will be undergoing a breast lift and brachioplasty, which is also known as arm living. After the doctor folded her skin to show what her arm will look like after the procedure, Vannessa was speechless as she pointed out that she will look like “a typical arm.”
“I never in my life imagined myself looking like this,” he told the producers. “Let alone, now it’s a real possibility.”
The Georgia native continued, “Once I started looking in a mirror, I saw a beautiful, beautiful queen and by having this surgery it will make me the person I want to be.”
Fans have seen Vannessa’s impressive weight loss journey in the first two seasons of 1000 pounds Best friends.
She revealed that she weighed 398 pounds during a March 2022 episode, which was a significant drop from when she was at her heaviest weight, which hovered around 500 pounds.
Vannessa finally qualified for weight loss surgery, while fans watched her nine-month post-op appointment on the February 22, 2023 episode.
